Captain Jeffery Foote isn’t the kind of guy who brags; he just quietly puts people on fish, day after day, season after season. With more than 37 years in the industry and 22 years of hard-earned days at sea, experience and a deep respect for the water, he’s built a reputation as one of the most trusted and capable guides in New England.
As the lead guide and owner of Central New Hampshire Guides, Captain Foote brings his passion for the sport to every trip. From the rocky inshore coastlines chasing striped bass and bluefish, to offshore runs for tuna, sharks, or haddock & cod, he’s done it all and continues to do it with a level of focus and humility that sets him apart.
His journey didn’t start here, and it sure didn’t stay in one place. Captain Foote has fished all over the continent, chasing everything from mountain trout to warmwater game fish to offshore giants and billfish. Every trip, every fish, every waterway taught him something new. He calls it a PhD in fishing earned not in a classroom, but through years of grit, grind, and going wherever the fish called him.
But eventually, the ocean brought him home to the rugged coastline of New England. And now, he’s on a mission to share that knowledge, that passion, and that deep connection with the water.
Some days stand out like the one where three generations of a single family came aboard. Grandfather, father, and son sharing stories, smiles, and a connection only the ocean can deliver. When they landed a tuna, it wasn’t just a fish it was a memory that would live on forever.
That’s the kind of experience Captain Jeffery Foote lives for. The real ones. The kind that bring families closer, spark a lifelong love for fishing, or give someone a moment they’ll talk about for years.
What makes Captain Foote truly stand out isn’t just his skill it’s his style. Mission-focused but approachable. Rugged but patient. He reads the water like a book, adapts when conditions change, and always puts safety and preparation first. Guests trust him not only to find fish, but to create an atmosphere that’s relaxed, fun, and real.
The waters of New England aren’t always easy and that’s exactly why Captain Jeffery Foote thrives here. They’re wild, unpredictable, and steeped in history. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
With Captain Foote at the helm, you don’t just get a guide you get a captain who’s earned his place through time, tide, and tenacity. Whether you’re chasing stripers, searching for tuna, or just looking to show your kids their first fish, one thing is certain:
You’re going to leave with more than just a catch.
You’re going to leave with a story the kind you’ll never forget.
